Born as Alisia Salters on March, 6 1966, in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, America; Lisa did her early education from Upper Merion Area High School, where she is inducted into the Hall of fame. Next, she went on to have a Bachelors degree in Journalism from the Pennsylvania State University in the year 1988. She was an accomplished basketball player in her college days and from 1986 to 1987 played as a Guard for Lady Lions basketball team. She has been identified as the shortest basketball player in the history of her school.
Lisa started off her career as a reporter with the WBAL-TV, Baltimore. Her career stint at WBAL-TV was of seven long years. In the year 1995, she worked as a news correspondent for ABC news, from Los Angeles. She joined the ABC network in the year 2000, at the start she successfully covered the reporting of O.J. Simpson Murder Case for ABC Channel. For ESPN, she has efficiently done her job of reporting various events; these include the FIFA World Cup (2002), Olympic Games (2004). She also hosted the reporting of 2006 Winter Olympics, for ESPN.
From December 2000 to January 2001, she did an extensive coverage of the murder trial of Carolina Panthers. For ESPN, she is a regular on the award winning show, ‘Outside the lines’. For the same show and two others ‘SportsCenter’ and ‘ESPNEWS,’ Salters also came up with a reporting series from the Middle East at the time of Pre Iraq War. This series covered stories, related to sports happening in and around the Central Command of the U.S. in Qatar. Besides, she is commonly identified as a reporter for the show, ‘Monday Night Football’ on the channel. The ESPN’s newsmagazine show, ’E: 60’has listed her as one of its featured correspondent. Salters also reports for ABC, on the NBA College Basketball, on secondary basis.
Again in the year 2004, she stepped her foot into the war prone region of Kuwait, where she reported for ESPN’s SportsCenter live from a U.S. army base named Camp Arifjan.
She went on to cover the Big 12 Championship Game, in San Antonio, Texas, where a technical glitch caused her microphone announcement to hover over the entire stadium, leading to a confused audience.
Lisa Salters is a confident woman, capable of turning heads with her success and attractive personality. She seems to be a strict and serious person.
